SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The 8th Conference of the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning will take place October 20-23, 2011 in Milwaukee, WI. Returning to the United States after meeting last year in England, 600 or more scholars of teaching and learning from around the world will gather to discuss evidence-based insights and theoretical frameworks for how to teach today's students to be tomorrow's most prepared citizens. Financial assistance from sponsors is essential to assure the highest quality program at a cost that is affordable for a diverse group of international scholars and students. The sponsorship program highlighted below has been designed to provide benefits consistent with each level of contribution. We invite you become a sponsor of ISSOTL11, and welcome your ideas for contributions consistent with your organization's goals and objectives. Registration now available for exhibitors and sponsors (click to register)

Many custom arrangements are possible, including co-sponsorships. Please discuss your sponsorship interests with Kelly Ottman, Chair of the conference sponsorship committee (ottman@msoe.edu).

*In the international spirit of this conference, conference bags will be hand-woven bags made by women located in the Kware Slums of Nairobi, Kenya. The bags provide an industry for these women and will help support the feeding of over 200 children each day (porridge breakfast and bean based lunch), pre-school classes and other education and social services. Sponsorship will be noted on a tag attached to the bag.

Travel Grant Sponsors: Financial support for conference registration will help us provide a broad opportunity for scholars in emerging countries and for students to participate in a major scholarship of teaching and learning event, meet leaders and colleagues in the field, and present their scholarly projects to the higher education community. If you wish to give more to cover travel and lodging expenses, other levels of sponsorship can discussed.

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR SPONSORSHIP:

Some organizations cannot commit to the costs of major sponsorship, but nevertheless want to show their support for ISSOTL. Listed below are some suggested items that can include your logo for advertisement and will be placed in the conference tote bags showing your support as a contributing sponsor. If you wish to donate an item, please go to the registration page (click). The cost is $50.00 to provide an item for the tote bag in quantities of 600.
